Simon Says: Totally Resistible

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Halloween Inspiration Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

Totally Resistible

There are so many resist techniques that we can use! We will be looking forward to seeing what you use to resist!

This week we are showcasing Impression Obsession  Products  You don't have to use them for the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

I inked the  Gradation Cling Stamp with versamark ink stamped onto Watercolor Paper then embossed with clear powder. I then used Forest Moss, Wild Honey and Tumbled Glass Inks over the top, using the clear embossing as a resist. I then used my iron and some kitchen paper to take off the embossing.

I love the effect this has left, pretty cool don't you think! ;-)

Thanks for looking!! :-)

Please pop over to see the gorgeous card our GD Danijela has made too :-) I am sure she would love to read your comments ;-)

Wild Rose Studio ' Reindeer'

The countdown is ON!! There are only 73 days left to Christmas, so taking away the postal times that leaves less than 50 days to get your act together and get those cards written and in the mailbox! Time to get a wiggle on folks! ;-)

Our host for the next fortnight on the ABC Christmas Challenge is the lovely Sue and she has chosen the theme

'U' for 'Under The Pile'
ie, use a product that is at least one year old

I wanted to use a brand new Wild Rose Studio 'Reindeer Die' that arrived over the weekend, well you always want to use your new stuff too don't you, so I made a couple of cards and paired them with older dies that I have had in my stash at least a year.

I inked up a background using Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks and then used a Falling Stars Stencil, White Embossing Paste and a sprinkling of glitter to create the sky.

I wanted the keep the ground fairly plain so I stuck with plain white die cuts so that the beauty of the Reindeer would be the main focus.

For the landscape card above I used a WRS Cottage Die and for the portrait card below I used a Tree Border Die, that I think was from My Favorite Things but it may have been discontinued.

Thanks for looking! :-)
